The Ourang Medan
The Ourang Medan is a terrifying tale, where two American ships received a distress call off the coast of Malaysia. The call came from our phantom ship. The crew and captain were all said to be dying or already dead. The last message from it was simply “I die.”
The Carroll A. Deering
The Carroll A. Deering is famous along the Eastern Seaboard. The schooner ran aground by Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, back in 1921. The Coast Guard, hearing of the crash, sent boats to help. They found the ship abandoned, with most of it gutted. The lifeboats were missing, and none of the passengers were heard from again.
