Apu Trilogy

Indian cinema produces more films each year than any other industry in the world, but few films possess the quality of the ‘Apu Trillogy’. This series was made by one of India’s greatest talents – Satyajit Ray, who focused on the many social issues troubling the nation at the time. The three films in the Apu trilogy are ‘Pather Panchali’, ‘Aparajito’ and ‘Apur Sansar’. The films were made in the regional language of Bengali and focus on the life of the titular character Apu, and his journey from childhood to fatherhood.
