Ninety percent of the population in the world today lives somewhere within the Northern Hemisphere, which means a lot of these people spend their incredibly hot, or warm, summer months at the beach taking in the sun’s rays and loving the cool water. Sadly, most bodies of water are actually loaded down with copious amounts of garbage, which is both disgusting and shocking. While visiting a beach, many people find truly bizarre items that have washed ashore, most of which you won’t believe.
It is said that thousands of shipping containers break open while traveling across the Pacific Ocean each year. Back in 2012, residents of Kodiak, Alaska discovered dozens of flyswatters washing ashore.
Back in 1992, a massive crate carrying 28,000 rubber ducks and other miscellaneous bath toys fell into the ocean. Most of these floated to the shores between the United States and Australia.
