Every April Fools Day, the internet is full of people doing all sorts to mess with one another. Some can be annoying or predictable, like the cousin who is pretending to be engaged or pregnant. Others, like Google, take things in a more fun direction.
For two days only, yesterday and today, whenever you use Google Maps to navigate a particularly complicated area, there is an option to turn the map into Pac-Man. You read that right. You can turn the crazy circles in Washington DC or the insanity that is the Lower Part of NYC in to your very own interactive game.
As they say on their site: It’s never been easier to find out where to go. Now, with Google Maps’ Pac-Man, it’s finally easier to see where NOT to go. Go forth, all fellow travels of the world and avoid ghosts!
